Who would have thought that after a year of making a big thumb print within the UK punk underdog scene, Studsandpunks would achieve the top slot in the google organic search results for the search term "studs" Our website is starting to take shape in a form we only dreamed of with thousands of pounds of development already invested in the site success and much more work currently still under development.
Development to date includes; Fungal Underdog Enthusiasts Collection: Dave has done it again, and we felt that his efforts for this section deserved a home page slot. The underdog collection, is a featured slot to promote select underdog bands. We are currently working on a video feature to show as part of each review.
CD Reviews: Our CD review section is now building nicely thanks to the generous efforts of the team, and we now have in place an efficient indexing system to help find the reviews submitted. Gig Reviews: As above, we have indexed this section with use of a clever script that can index one review under each band that played instead of just one. Our Shop: Studs and Punks very own model Rebelle Pixie, is currently putting together a HD video to post studding techniques to help shoppers with stud installation, and to promote this gorgeous models career. Band Profiles: This is out biggest most adventurous work to date. We are currently working to develop our members section to enable much more user interaction from our members. Areas of control include their very own area to customise and promote band videos and music in a similar style to Myspace. Search Facility: We are installing a "search this site" box which will allow the entire searching of the site for a chosen term / band, returning results from all areas including gig and cd reviews. Bombsite: We are please to be working closely with Mart at the heavily reputed Bombsite and have secured a home page slot to keep track of the latest release, and all that is going on with this wonderful e-magazine. Mart has a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm and we are honoured to be working so closely. Podcast: January has seen the release of my very first podcast attempt, and we have seen a massive encouraging response. We are currently working on many more areas, including allowing members to post their own events and news stories, a make-over of the blog and forum areas and a new look newsletter - watch out for 2010! Whilst the vast amount of talent out there keeps making the music, we will keep supporting it! |
